I always thought that most AI articles don’t get much traction on Medium. Well, I guess I was wrong.

I only know this information because I’m an editor at a large publication. I’ve had hell with this one particular “writer” who always submits AI stories.

I’ve rejected them countless times, and I even had her removed, but she keeps coming back like a ghost!

I never really understood why she was so hell-bent on publishing AI articles until I randomly found one of her articles that went viral.

I’m not going to say the author or the name of the article because it’s against Medium’s rules. However, I will say that this AI article has 65K views and 38K reads. Out of those reads, 20K are from Medium members.

In other words, she made a shit ton of money, even though AI articles are prohibited on Medium.

I think it’s crazy how she still has an active account despite constantly submitting AI articles. I’ve also reported her so many times and nothing happens.

Yet, genuine writers get suspended on Medium every month.

What the hell is going on?

Anyway, if you ever wonder where the money went in July, maybe it would help if Medium would actually enforce its AI policy.

Also, these AI articles are obvious ones.

I’ll bet my life on it, that’s how obvious these AI articles are that remain behind the paywall on her account.

Maybe most people can’t tell if they don’t have any experience with AI.

Do you know how I can tell if an article is AI or not? I’ve been editing AI writing for nearly two years with a client, and it’s easy to see the obvious signs.

AI writing is much more than “tapestry.”

AI writing has a certain tone and sentence structure that it uses and it also puts certain words at the beginning of each sentence.

You can also change this tone to be more informal, but it uses this “informal” tone in countless articles for people who are trying to appear…
